Electrical Research and Development Engineer Location: Harlow, Essex, office based Permanent position Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday: 8.00AM - 4.30PM. Salary Guide: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. An excellent opportunity for an Electrical Research and Development Engineer to join one of the UK’s leading design and manufacturer of temporary, heavy-duty electrical distribution equipment for the construction, building services, military and rail sectors and other similar fields. This new role is based on-site at our clients Engineering Centre in Harlow, Essex and offers an interesting and varied workload The Role: As an Electrical Research and Development Engineer you will join the engineering standards team and provide technical support to the engineering and sales team, produce conceptual designs for new products and undertake the development and testing of both new and existing products. Responsibilities: Providing technical support to our engineering and sales teams. Product research and development. Product compliance testing. Conceptual design. Technical authoring. The Person: Electrical Engineering degree or HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering. Electrical engineering background within either the Construction or Rail industries (desirable but not essential). Possess a good working knowledge BS7671 and electrical design principles. Computer literate and must have good working knowledge of AutoCAD / 3D CAD. Technically competent while being commercially aware. Enjoy problem-solving. Strong communicator, both verbal and written. Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
