Location: Preston Bus, 221 Deepdale Road, Preston, PR1 6NY
Hours: Working 5 shifts over 7 on a rostered shift pattern 40hrs per week.
Rate of Pay: £12.50 per hour
Holidays: 28 inclusive of bank Holidays
The purpose of the Cleaning & Fuelling Supervisor is to manage and oversee the provision of the tasks undertaken, ensuring they are carried out to the highest possible standards whilst being responsible for ensuring that health & safety regulations and company policies are adhered to. This involves supervising and motivating a team of cleaning and fuelling staff and carrying out regular inspections to ensure standards are maintained.
The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the cleaning & fuelling staff. This includes ensuring that the cleaning and fuelling teams are working efficiently and effectively, undertaking quality checks and health and safety inspections, and implementing new procedures and processes. The Cleaning Supervisor will also be responsible for training and developing cleaning and fuelling staff and maintaining accurate records and reports.
* Cleaning and maintenance of Preston Bus PCV & ancillary vehicles to the expected standard therefore ensuring all vehicles are ready for service.
* Ensuring 100% of vehicles are cleaned to a high standard for passenger service operations.
* Promoting vehicle cleanliness within the cleaning and fuelling teams, for the standards set to be sustainable long term
* Ensuring all service vehicles are fuelled & adblu checked/topped for all vehicles to ensure they are ready for service.
* Manage and control safe parking of serviceable vehicles according to depot plan to ensure smooth run out of service.
* Ensure all required documentation is completed
* Organising and allocating tasks to cleaning & fuelling staff
* Ordering and maintaining stock levels of staff equipment and materials required
* Recognising and highlighting training issues for cleaning & fuelling staff
* Monitoring and organising staff schedules
* Monitor the cleanliness of premises, equipment and staff
* Monitor and maintain the correct and appropriate disposal of waste
* Ensuring that health & safety regulations and company policies & procedures are adhered to
* Responsible for reporting incidents, accidents and near misses in a timely manner to appropriate personnel
* Liaising with Engineering and Operations Manager to resolve complaints and issues
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work autonomously and use own initiative
