A skilled and passionate Registered Manager is required to join a growing organisation who provide care for children and young people within a residential setting.
With their new children home in Workington, for 4 young people with EBD, we require a Registered Manager who has the knowledge and experience within similar settings and working to OFSTED legislation and who thrive on making a difference to the lives of young people The company is a young organisation who are experienced, compassionate, child centred, and honest.

O ther good bits Salary is negotiable and for a skilled experienced RM a salary of £65k, rising to £67.5k once 2 children in the home and up to £70k once 4 children in the home.
£2000 registration bonus £500 bonus for 'Good' Oftsted rating and £1000 bonus for an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating 33 days a/l including bank holidays The role: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children residential service, to be registered for 4 young people aged between 8-18.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care.
Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of each child.
Maintain effective communication with children, families, and external agencies.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care practices and make improvements as necessary.
Manage budgets and resources efficiently to ensure the sustainability of the service.
Promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages personal growth and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Ideally hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or willing to work towards this.
Hold a minimum of the Level 3 or 4 in residential childcare Proven experience in a managerial role within a children residential setting, or at least 2 years experience within the last 5 of working in a residential setting for children and young people with experience of supervising and managing staff teams.
Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in children care.
Commitment to continuous professional development and training.
