We are looking for an interim Project Support Officer to join us initially for 6 months based in North Birmingham paying GBP20ph on an inside IR35 basis. 1-2 days a week on site is needed.
The Project Support Officer provides project and programme management capability, delivering projects for the organisation. Our well-qualified award-winning teams manage a wide range of projects throughout their lifecycle to deliver outcomes for flood risk and resilience, wildlife, nature, and our communities. This post sits within a team of Project Executives, Project Managers, and Project Support Officers who manage the day-to-day delivery of projects using our framework suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide project and programme management support.
2. Coordinate activities with team members.
3. Ensure effective communication within the project team.
4. Manage data analysis and presentation.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A Levels (or equivalent) are desirable.
2. Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude.
3. Innovative and able to improve existing processes.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Highly organised with the ability to use initiative and manage own time.
6. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Teams; Prince 2 knowledge is preferred.
7. Knowledge or experience in the use of SharePoint is advantageous but not essential.
8. Ability to analyse, interpret, and display data effectively.
9. Some knowledge or experience of commercial and contract management and financial processes is useful.
10. Able to work under pressure, prioritising workload and meeting deadlines.
