Our client is an established company embarking on an exciting new venture with the setup of a fresh residential home. This new home will accommodate up to four young people, providing them with a safe, supportive environment designed to meet their individual needs. As a Children’s Home Manager, you will oversee the operations of this newly established 4-bedded home. You’ll ensure high-quality emotional and physical care, plan and facilitate keyworker services, and create a nurturing environment that prepares young people for independent living. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the home, ensuring compliance with the Quality Standards 2015. Foster a supportive, safe, and stimulating environment for young people. Promote partnership working with young people, families, and other stakeholders. Provide leadership and development opportunities for the staff team. Ensure regulatory compliance, including the Children’s Homes Regulations 2001. Oversee budgets, staffing, and operational management. Implement and uphold health and safety standards. Drive continuous improvement and maintain the highest quality of care. Requirements: Qualifications: QCF Level 5 in Childcare or equivalent (e.g., DipSW, NVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management). Experience: At least two years of experience working with children, with one year in a supervisory or management role. Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulations, including the Children Act 1989, Every Child Matters, and the National Minimum Standards. Skills: Strong leadership and organizational abilities. Emotional resilience and maturity. Practical and creative problem-solving skills. Additional Information: Enhanced DBS check required. Full UK driving license essential.
