Electrical Engineering Instructor
Humberside Engineering Training Association HETA is a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA) with training centres in Hull, Stallingborough and Scunthorpe. HETA provide training to Level 3 engineering apprentices as well as upskilling courses for over 300 of our client companies. HETA are proud to work with some of the biggest names in engineering and manufacturing, working together we support the growth of engineering training locally, regionally and nationally
HETA are looking for industry specialists who are ready to take the next steps in their career to become an Electrical Instructor where you will instruct/teach the next generation of engineers. Whilst no two days are the same, you will spend time with groups of learners to develop their knowledge skills and behaviours to become industry experts.
The instructor role includes but is not limited to:
• Promoting /supporting apprenticeships
• Training young people across engineering study and apprentice programmes
• Delivering regulated qualifications (full training and support will be provided)
HETA require successful instructors to have experience in:
• Electrical/multi skilled maintenance engineering
• Health & Safety practices and procedures
• Desirable but not essential – certification in 2391 and 18th Edition.
• Desirable but not essential – experience of High Voltage
The successful applicant needs to have:
• A minimum of Level 3 Engineering qualification
• Good interpersonal and computer skills
• The desire to teach, enrich and empower learners using personal and industrial experiences
While assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable, they are not essential. Applicants without the qualifications will be required to complete a period of teacher training at college. Full support from the HETA Teaching & Learning team is available
The position would be based at our Hull centre however a driving licence with access to own transport is required as travelling between centres may be required.
