PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Due to the ongoing success and expansion of the Firm we are looking to hire an enthusiastic individual who is keen to progress their Finance career, as a Junior Credit Controller. Based in our Leeds office, you will play a key role in supporting the Credit Control team to deliver a professional collection experience to our clients, whilst meeting the Firm's financial needs, helping to unlock aged debt with curiosity and energy. THE TEAM Based in our Leeds office, the team consists of 2 Team Leaders, 2 Senior Credit Controllers, 3 Credit Controller and 1 Junior Credit Controller. The team is high performing and has set consistent records in cash collections over the last 5 years. Working collaboratively, the team set goals in monthly meetings about how they will work together to achieve them. You will work as part of an established team, with a significant track record of internal promotion and career development. WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE Contacting a small portfolio of clients by telephone, email, and letter to secure outstanding payments to the Firm. Providing administrative support to the wider Credit Control team. Ensuring queries received from both clients and wider internal stakeholders are dealt with in a timely manner. Clearly and concisely documenting all actions taken in relation to debt chasing. Following an escalation process to your line manager / fee earners regarding outstanding monies. Supporting with the issue of monthly statements. Regularly liaising with wider internal colleagues, providing updates relating to outstanding matters/debt. YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE Have at least 6 months finance administration experience within a comparable professional services environment. Whilst experience within a law firm would be advantageous this would not be essential. Maintain efficient workload, diary, and task management, ensuring the accuracy and levels of client service expected within a high performing team. Have strong attention to detail with the curiosity to identify, understand and drive imaginative solutions to challenges. Be a confident communicator, with evidenced experience of engaging professionally with internal and external stakeholders of all levels. Remain calm and optimistic in time sensitive situations or under pressure.
