Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen offering a full time (37.5 hours per week) Housekeeper to work within the Children's Unit and Paediatric Observation and Assessment. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to provide efficient high-quality service to patients and be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities in the unit area, which includes ward kitchens and catering areas. The post provides an exciting challenge to the successful candidate and gives the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the needs of patients, multi-disciplinary team, and relatives. You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise across multi agencies and multi-disciplinary departments. Main duties of the job We require a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Housekeeper within the Childrens Unit and Paediatric Observation and Assessment Unit. This role includes the undertaking of daily organisation, maintaining stock levels, audits, and cleanliness of the environment. You will be working with a fantastic and supportive team who will be happy to assist you as settle within the team. Regular feedback and one-to-one will be provided by your manager to ensure that you stay happy in your job. Duties include supporting the meals processes within the footprint of the unit, management of stock, supporting maintenance of equipment, also including general housekeeping of the unit. It is essential that you are able to work in an orderly and systematic manner, possess good literacy, IT, numeracy, communication and organisational skills. You should have a caring attitude, as well as the ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multidisciplinary team.
