Applications are invited for this vacancy in the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service based in the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Rhyl.
The post holder will provide an accurate and prompt administrative function, to facilitate the delivery of an efficient and effective appointment booking service for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, good communication skills, be able to work on their own initiative and be efficient, organised and able to work flexibly.Significant relevant previous experience of using the hospital's Patient Administration System would be of benefit. A good telephone manner and communication skills are essential.
The post-holder will hold Level 3 qualifications or possess demonstrable experience. The post holder will be required to demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner at all times. By the nature of the duties, the post requires the candidate to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, relatives and visitors with courtesy and discretion at all ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Providing high-level secretarial services to the Central Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Senior Leadership and Management Team and other members of the department for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Communicates with organisations and individuals from outside of the Health Board
First point of contact for the Central Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Senior Leadership and Management Team (when necessary) by telephone, e-mail, and correspondence or for visitors. Providing advice on a wide range of servicematters related matters resolving them or referring them to the most appropriate person during periods when they are absent from the office.
Provides Senior Secretarial support to the Central Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Senior Leadership and Management Team within the Department
Deal with confidential and sensitive documents/issues, maintaining the strictest confidentiality and discretion at all times. This may include information of a distressing nature
