Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum plus Welcome Bonus - **Terms and Conditions Apply. Welcome Bonus is payable after completion of one month £500 and one further payment of £500 upon completion of your final probation period.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

Due to growth in service we are looking for an Art Teacher to join our outstanding team at Groveside School in Reading, Berkshire.
About The Role
The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and learning in Art and will have the ability to motivate pupils and develop staff in a team which prides itself as being collaborative and supportive. You will be able to inspire effective teaching and learning within the classroom and beyond as our small school flourishes in the coming years. You will understand the importance of data as a tool to track pupil progress and will identify a wide range of evaluation strategies to lead the development in all aspects of its success.
Some of the duties of the Art Teacher will involve:
1. Planning, delivering and teaching individual pupils or small groups, in accordance with the School’s Curriculum framework and related policies.
2. Monitoring, recording and reporting on pupil progress.
3. Working with and managing challenging behaviour, enabling pupils to develop from needing external control to developing self-control.
4. Playing a full part as a member of the School’s multi-professional team, ensuring effective working relationships with colleagues.

Groveside School is a new Acorn School in Reading and will cater for up to 60 pupils between 7 - 16 years old with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
