Job Description Job title: EMEA Assistant Accountant (supporting CooperSurgical) Department: Finance Location: Segensworth, Hampshire – on site Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30-4:30 Job summary – What to expect: The EMEA Finance Shared Service Centre ("SSC") directly supports eleven legal entities in eight countries within the EMEA region and two markets indirectly supported in conjunction with local Finance teams (Russia and Turkey). As the EMEA Assistant Accountant of our Finance team, you will: Support an efficient, accurate and timely Financial Reporting close process for the designated commercial or operations entities in EMEA. Assist the Financial Account Commercial or Operations to ensure the financial reporting submissions and deliverables meet expectations of the designated entities. Support accurate reporting and guidance around certain accounting topics (entity specific) like Revenue Recognition Sales & Marketing incentives and Intercompany. Assist with the completion of month end reporting (in accordance with US GAAP) to include the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and providing commentary on variances Provide assistance to the FP&A function in building out legal entity budgets and forecasts for the designated entities and provide relevant data for the preparation of cashflow forecasts. Working relationship with Internal and External Audit to support and facilitate SoX quarterly reviews, and year-end audits, and ensuring the documentation of financial processes are reviewed on an agreed periodic basis. Active working relationship with the Transactional AP team (incl T&E expenses) and Fixed Asset and Leasing Finance team to collaborate and ensure the seamless performance of activities carried out for CSI. A Full Job Description Is Available Upon Request. About you: You will have3 years’ finance experience with responsibility for account reconciliations. Experience in prioritizing workload and delivering to tight deadlines, particularly around month-end is also important.
