Applicants should meet the following criteria:
* Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
* ILS certification.
* Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
* Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
* Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
* Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.
* Orthopaedic experience.
Duties of this role include:
* Deliver safe, quality care for patients during their perioperative phase. Support and assist in the management and organization of care within the Operating Department.
* Assist in delivering patient care.
* Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
* Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of oneself and others.
* Apply and promote evidence-based practice within scope of practice.
* Ensure correct application of legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Maintain knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and ensure safety measures for patients, visitors, staff, and contractors.
* Achieve objectives and demonstrate CHG behaviors consistently.
* Prepare and check surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for operative procedures.
