Jackson Hogg have partnered with a specialist manufacturer within the food industry, based in the Newcastle area, on their search for a Compliance Manager to join the business.
Compliance Manager Responsibilities
1. Build and maintain relationships with all UK Customers and act as the primary point of contact for all customer queries.
2. Manage the entire specification process for our products, from initial request to final specification completed.
3. Responsible for maintaining all customer portals.
4. Responsible for answering all customer queries & Specification requests that directly relate to UK Customers for products produced either in UK or BI sourcing entities.
5. Ensuring Food labeling and regulatory checks are completed for all UK & EU products.
6. Technical representative at C2L Project Meetings, responsible for communicating key details back to the wider team.
7. Update the C2L project tracker with relevant project details, relating to specification, artwork timing etc.
8. Provide technical support and guidance to the R&D.
9. Responsible for ensuring and where needed the specification process from receiving the Product Information Sheet (PIS / PIP) at the Industrialise stage of a project through to specification approval. Where relevant creating specifications on various customer portals, TQC, MCreate, Engage, APP, Wave etc within project deadlines.
10. Responsible for tracking & spend of Specification & Cost of doing business budget, i.e. specification, customer portal, customer audit, customer own testing costs etc.
11. Responsible for managing all UK customer KPI data.
12. Responsible for ensuring Technical Artwork approval for UK Produced products are completed and overseeing approval for BI.
13. Where required, support day-to-day running of the UK site Technical team.
14. Management, training and development of Compliance Team.
15. All reasonable requests made by the Head of Technical or Technical Manager.
Compliance Manager Desirable Requirements
1. Degree or HND in Food technology or equivalent.
2. Level 3 Food Safety.
3. Level 3 HACCP.
4. Computer literacy (Microsoft packages), SharePoint.
5. Experience in a managerial role in a food manufacturing environment.
6. Experience of managing a specification process within the Food Industry.
7. Experience in UK Retailer supplier food manufacturing environment.
8. Thorough understanding of retailer practices and frameworks.
9. UK & EU Food Labeling experience.
