What Will You Be Doing?
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of the classroom, helping children thrive academically and personally. You’ll work closely with the classroom teacher to create a positive and productive learning environment where every student can reach their potential.
* Support Students of All Abilities: Work with children at different stages of learning, offering tailored support to meet individual needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Classroom Assistance: Help deliver engaging lessons, distribute materials, and assist in managing classroom behavior.
* Provide Targeted SEN Support: Offer one-to-one and small group assistance to students with a range of learning needs, including ASD (Autism).
* Pastoral Care: Be a positive influence in students’ lives, offering support with both academic tasks and social development.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous Experience: Experience working with children in a school or care setting is essential. Whether as a Teaching Assistant (TA), Learning Support Assistant (LSA), or in another similar role, your background will help you thrive in this position.
* Qualifications: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are beneficial, but not essential. What’s most important is your passion for supporting young learners.
* Caring and Proactive: A kind, patient, and hands-on approach is a must. You’ll need to be adaptable and proactive in supporting both students and teachers.
* DBS: You should either have a current DBS check, or be willing to apply for one.
