Teaching Personnel is looking to appoint a highly motivated, resourceful and committed Teaching Assistant to work in a SEN School South Bath within the Odd Down area. The school is a Specialist School for Physical and Sensory as well as a school of Creativity. Offering the full National Curriculum as a basis for curriculum development and add to this a wide range of additional activities for personal and social growth. All pupils are encouraged and supported to access learning and achieve the highest possible standards. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom. Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning activities. Support students in developing essential skills, such as communication, social interaction, and independence. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to student assessments and reports. Assist with classroom management, including supporting positive behaviour and helping to create a safe and engaging learning environment. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to further enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN support. The successful educator will have: Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A flexible and adaptable attitude, with the ability to respond to the varying needs of students. A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
