Hybrid working pattern: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working – such as a flexible working pattern but expected to require a high level of on-site work due to the nature of the activities which requires a hands-on approach in an Integration lab.
Background:
Meteor is an established in-service product with the 6 European Partner Nations, there are currently various trials activities ongoing in support of domestic and export customers in the UK and abroad. In addition, work is underway to scope and plan the Mid-life upgrade programme and the associated trial campaigns - including Guided firings.
The Opportunity:
As Flight Trials Lead, you would report directly into the Meteor Chief Systems Proving Engineer and be responsible for delivery, coordination, and management of all flight trial support for legacy Meteor (including F35 and KF21 integration trials) and planning, driving strategy, and managing upcoming flight and firing trials in support of the Mid-life upgrade programme.
Although a lead role, this position comes with opportunities to travel and provide hands-on support to firing trials in the UK and overseas. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to build and lead a small team delivering critical capability in support of missile development.
As part of the Meteor ISV team, you would have the opportunity to work on an exciting, high-performance product and to develop and broaden your technical skills by working within a dynamic proving team. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively with other areas of MBDA and the international customer community.
