Role Overview Horton Housing is a not-for-profit Housing Association that supports individuals in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, and North Yorkshire. We provide housing, training, and support services to homeless individuals, young people, and refugees, aiming to assist them in achieving their goals. The role involves managing a caseload, helping clients maintain their tenancy, and facilitating their transition into permanent housing. You will address immediate needs, including access to welfare benefits, food, clothing, and healthcare, and work with other support services to ensure comprehensive assistance based on individual needs and risk assessments. This position requires flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as the service operates 24/7. Qualifications and Skills Required Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including those from the criminal justice system and areas of social care. Desirable vocational training in areas like mental health awareness, welfare benefits, or housing, though training is provided. Understanding of the Criminal Justice System and Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA). Knowledge of health and safety tasks related to property maintenance. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age due to the nature of the work.
