ELECTRICAL TESTING AND INSPECTION ENGINEER/QUALIFYING SUPERVISOR - CAMBRIDGE
Job Location: Cambridge
Pay Rate: GBP19.32 per hour, payment weekly + GBP1.00 extra for supervision (jib rates), own vehicle to and from home to site # GBP0.24 per mile, with company vehicle GBP0.12 per mile

Client Overview:
One of our long-standing Building Services Contractor clients requires an experienced Electrical Testing and Inspection Engineer to join the Cambridge office with the flexibility to work alongside the existing team with our client's Essex office - CM1.
We're looking for someone who will take ownership and responsibility for quality issues to ensure high standards are met across all projects, manage health and safety, permit to work systems, and commissioning processes on site.
We're looking for an individual to have detailed knowledge of all Electrical systems, relevant standards, regulations, and installation methods.
Core Duties:
1. Maintain, control, and implement company procedures, including H&S procedures.
2. Inspect, control, and review progress of our client's direct labour workforce and sub-contractors.
3. Ensure company instructions and standards of discipline, workmanship, and safety are maintained on site.
4. Assist in the production of commissioning programme and/or agree order of work within overall commissioning programme and monitor its progress.
5. Ensure compliance of all electrical works, whether executed by our client's own operatives or sub-contractors, in line with the relevant drawings and specifications.
6. Organise, supervise, and record testing procedures and/or inspections as required during the progress of the project.
7. Attend site/client meetings.
8. Carry out the physical inspection and testing of installations and produce test certification as required.
9. Carry out remedial and installation works as required.
10. Carry out the role of LV authorised person responsibilities as and when required.
11. A good IT knowledge and use of testing software required.
12. Produce marked-up drawings as the work progresses reflecting any changes as required.
Required Qualifications:
1. CG 2391 - Inspection and testing (or equivalent)
2. CG 2382-22 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
1. City & Guilds Accredited Low Voltage Authorised Person Course (APLV)
2. City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Design and Installation of Domestic and small Commercial EV charging installations (2321-31)
3. SSSTS or SMSTS
4. Emergency First Aid
5. PASMA
6. IPAF
