For the past 10 years, Live Wire has worked across Formula 1, supplying technology to the major teams and F1 Management. Our work varies from constructing viewer experiences in teams’ hospitality suites, paddock, garages and factories elevating each of the 24 races a year. We work closely with our suppliers to deliver pioneering technology and integrate innovation into all of the work we do.
Live Wire provides AV technology for all genres of events including Festivals, Concerts, Conferences, Theatre and Dance. We work with large concert halls in London such as Southbank Centre, Barbican, Sadlers Wells to provide technicians, support and equipment.
Job Description
Live Wire is seeking a Paddock Club Production Manager to oversee the successful delivery of high-profile F1 Paddock Club events and race setups. This role requires close collaboration with project management, finance, operations, and clients to ensure seamless execution while upholding the highest standards on-site.
This role demands a proactive leader with a keen eye for detail, the ability to make decisive on-site judgments, and a commitment to delivering flawless, world-class AV productions in high-pressure environments.
Responsibilities:
1. Site Planning & Execution: Assess venue layouts and technical specifications to determine the most effective AV setup, ensuring all production elements align with event requirements and client expectations.
2. Production & Logistics Management: Develop and implement detailed production plans, including equipment specifications, crew allocation, and build schedules, to guarantee efficient and high-quality event delivery.
3. Budgeting & Cost Control: Work alongside project management and finance teams to produce accurate budgets covering equipment, crew, and rechargeable costs. Proactively monitor project expenses, mitigate unforeseen costs, and communicate budgetary considerations to stakeholders.
4. On-Site Standards & Compliance: Maintain strict quality control over AV installations, ensuring all technical elements are set up to the highest standard. Identify and address potential delays, implement contingency plans, and provide timely updates to clients.
5. Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead a team of AV technicians and production staff, providing clear direction, support, and feedback. Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring team members take ownership of their responsibilities and adhere to build schedules.
6. Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key point of contact on-site, providing progress updates and addressing any concerns. Ensure all stakeholders are informed of developments, challenges, and solutions in real time.
Requirements:
1. 5 years experience working within events of varying demand, including leadership roles.
2. Specialist in lighting, sound or AV but having the confidence to understand and manage all aspects of a project.
