Position: Hygiene Contract Manager
Location: Grimsby
Role: Full Time
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday / Tuesday to Saturday
Mitie are recruiting for a Food Hygiene Contract Manager to join their team in Grimsby to support the service delivery for an established, busy factory.
Duties and Responsibilities
* To ensure all aspects of the hygiene service are carried out and maintained to the required standard
* Be responsible for overall service delivery across day and night shift, managing the nights Hygiene Manager to facilitate
* To manage the hygiene hours and ensure all expenditure is authorised and recorded
* To maintain daily, weekly and periodic sign offs to comply with client requirements
* To conduct compliance audits / inspections of internal hygiene standards and documentation
* To provide training and awareness for all hygiene and waste handling staff in all procedures relevant to their role
* Attend regular catch up meetings and Monthly KPI meetings.
Requirements
* Experience of working in a Hygiene management role in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment.
* People management experience
* Experience of BRC and customer audits.
* Experience leading and working with a diverse workforce
Key Strategic Responsibilities
* Audit the key operational documentation which your team will utilise in order to maintain due diligence in the provision of the contract services provided by Mitie.
* Carry out cleaning and related services inspections on site and deal with any non-conformances as a matter of urgency.
* You will ensure your Team are also carrying out their inspections, such as Finished Standards Inspections, Methodology Checks or ad-hoc inspections of personnel hygiene and PPE conformance.
* Maintain staff rotas in such a way as to ensure effective and efficient provision of services without overspend to the agreed budgets.
* Take a lead in, and be actively involved in staff recruitment, selection, induction, training and development. Identify training gaps and be proactive so to develop a continual improvement ethos across the contract.
* Maintain a safe and professional approach while working on site.
* Manage the contract services provided by Mitie to the Client. This will be achieved by managing your team of Support Leaders and Operatives, thus ensuring a smooth and efficient contract service provision across site.
* Meet with clients on a regular basis to discuss the services provided and to ensure a good working relationship is fostered.
* Deal with customer complaints or concerns in an efficient and effective manner, wherever possible, within 24hrs.
