Salary: £40,000

Role Overview
There'll be lots of opportunities to get stuck in. From managing plans and working collaboratively with colleagues across the globe, to real projects where you'll be supported with training to develop your programme skills.
You could be planning the rollout of our new checkouts to 2000+ stores, co-ordinating the development of a new payroll system or working on the development of brand-new mobile apps for our customers. Technology continues to change the face of retail and ours leads the way.
You'll be at the heart of our decision making and your goal will be to plan, co-ordinate and roll-out technology solutions in a safe and sustainable way. You'll work collaboratively with multiple teams across Technology and the business to find the best solutions for our customers, including communicating, planning and delivering them effectively. You'll ensure our solutions align to strategic goals, manage risks, create plans and track progress, working with software engineers and partners.

We're looking for graduates with a technical understanding, which will be assessed during the application process. We're looking for people with the ability to tackle diverse challenges whilst working collaboratively with their team.
What's a Programme Manager?
A Technical Programme Manager collaborates with all teams, creates plans, manages technical risks, communicates with partners, and coordinates technical aspects of projects.
Working at Our Welwyn Garden City Campus
Our leafy, green campus is 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Welwyn Garden City with its many shops, restaurants, pubs and sports facilities. Close to the A1, and with frequent trains running to Finsbury Park in just 20 minutes (free shuttle buses take you between the station and office), the campus is well connected to the surrounding area.
On campus, you'll find subsidised restaurants and coffee shops, as well as a Tesco Express to pick up your lunch or last-minute essentials. We also have a place where colleagues can connect and come together, to unlock innovation and collaboration and a place where they can network and socialise. Plus we have an on-site Nuffield Health gym, which has state-of-the-art equipment, studios for classes, plus treatment rooms (membership costs £23.50 per month).

We'll kick off with you spending some time learning more about our business and your programme. It's a great opportunity for you to meet other grads and make some new connections. We'll then introduce you to your team, so you can get to know more about your role and the area you'll be working in.
Store Experience
You'll start off by spending 4 weeks in stores, this is a great opportunity to really understand and get involved in what our colleagues do every day to serve our customers and communities.
Programme Structure
You'll gain a breadth of technology experience and skills as you complete a number of placements in different parts of our department.
