You will act as a key Support Worker for a number of customers, carrying out regular one-to-one sessions, enabling positive, trusting, and respectful relationships to be built and to enable them to achieve their goals and move forward to independent living.
You will be a valued member of a dedicated and strong team in a role where you can genuinely make a real difference by providing tenancy support, information, and advice to individuals to take control and lead independent, fulfilled lives. We also support with accessing health care, maximizing income, budgeting, debt management, and signposting to other services. Our aim is to reduce and/or prevent homelessness.
The post holder will work 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 9-5, Monday to Friday.
It would be great if you have previous experience of working with mental health, homelessness, and/or other socially excluded people and have a good understanding of safeguarding issues. BUT this is not essential as training will be given; it is more important for you to have the personal qualities and the right attitude to undertake the role.
We can offer you:
* a challenging but rewarding and varied role;
* the opportunity to learn about and use trauma-informed approaches;
* a role that gives you real job satisfaction in helping others;
* full training and support to develop your skills;
* the opportunity to work in a supportive, friendly, and professional team;
* the opportunity to complete further education and obtain a recognized qualification.
Come and join us. Please send us your application, and if you meet the requirements of the role, we will be able to offer you a job interview as soon as we can arrange.
