Our client, a family run civils and groundworks business based in Launceston, have an opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
You will need:
* A quantity surveying qualification
* Transport
Responsibilities:
* Costing: Preparing weekly costs for materials, labor, plant, and subcontractors. They also prepare cost reports for smaller projects.
* Contract administration: Administering and analyzing contracts, timesheets, tenders, pre-qualifying questionnaires, and price lists.
* Communication: Communicating with clients and colleagues to exchange financial construction-related information.
* Legal and regulatory compliance: Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance is followed.
* Health and safety: Prioritizing safety for oneself and others in the work environment.
* Project development: Working with the site team and factory teams to understand the modular build process.
* Project budget management: Assisting in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost estimates.
* Project specifications: Working closely with senior quantity surveyors to analyze project specifications and assess cost implications.
* Subcontractor management: Monitoring sub-contractors and stages of construction.
* Travel: Traveling to construction sites, Company fixed locations or other locations as requested by Senior Management.
