About the job Job summary The Army employs around 7,300 MOD Civil Servants across 300 locations. It is a diverse workforce involved in supporting the Army deliver its core outputs across a variety of functions and professions. It covers a vast range of roles from teachers, kennel assistants and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers and policy secretariat staff. The Armys Civilian People Team (ACPT) works to build a more engaged, inclusive, and productive civilian workforce which is better led, invested in, and recognised through the Armys chain of command. The team plays a key role in developing the Army's civilian business processes, implementing wider Departmental policy. The Army People Plan provides the strategic direction to managing our people, both military and civilian, and exploiting the professional skills and experience the Civil Service can offer as part of the Armys whole force workforce. With a greater focus on workforce planning and improvements to our approach to resourcing the TLB is seeking to take a more innovative approach to achieving its workforce capabilities and skills requirements in support of delivering the Armys outputs through its civil servants. Job description Working within the strategic resourcing hub of the ACPT, the position holder will work closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders across the Army TLB to develop and deliver resourcing plans, including brand and attract strategies, to recruit the Civil Service talent and skills the Army needs now and in the future. The external labour market for these roles can be competitive so a creative and innovative approach in advertising and routes to market is required. This is a Fixed-term Appointment as Army - Talent Aquisition Partnerin the Army. Your responsibilities will be as described in this job advert. The reason why you are appointed for a fixed period is due to the Army implementing a new recruitment process. The demand and processes of the new recruitment team will be reviewed alongside wider MOD recruitment process reviews.This post will therefore begin on your appointment and ends 23 months after that date.You should be aware that when your Fixed-term Appointment at MOD comes to an end, arrangements will be made in line with the FTA policy. If you are a permanent MoD civil servant and are found successful for an advertised Fixed-term Appointment (FTA) you should move into the post under a Temporary Transfer (for up to a maximum of 23 months). At theend of the posting you will return to your previous MoD Business area. Whilst this is an FTA, all internal MOD employees successfully recruited will be transferred into Army HQ as their new business area for the duration of their appointment. Successful candidates applying on promotion will be substantiated into the new grade. There is no requirement, therefore, for line management approval to apply. At the end of the appointment if it is not possible to extend the FTA, Army TLB will work with you to find an alternative position within the department, in line with departmental policy. If you are transferring to MoD from another government department (OGD) you should join the MoD on an inward loan. At the end of the loan you will return to your home (OGD) department.
