What You’ll Do:
The Design team within the Creative Dept has seen it’s scope of work steadily increase over the past 2 seasons to service a growing output across Programming, Digital and Creative. The Design team has reached a point where it requires specialist Designers to service these departments (as well as external 360 briefs from the Premier League) in the best way possible, delivering cutting edge design with world class service. These specialist Designers will require the experience and influence of a Lead Designer to guide all output and ensure all deliveries across design are of the highest standard.
Personable, passionate and ruthlessly assertive our Lead Designer will be a beacon for creativity, capable of inspiring and driving a 10 person team to world class levels of design output across football programming, digital content and creative campaigns.
You will be an experienced self-starter, a proven motivator and a brilliant collaborator.
In tune with the football creative zeitgeist, our Lead Designer will live and breathe football design, constantly striving to push the limits of the Premier League brand world and find creative solutions for the Premier League’s touch points across the globe.
You will work closely with the Head Of Creative, Creative Studio Manager, Senior Designers and Creative Leads to inspire and deliver for Senior Programme Producers, Senior Digital Creators, Production Managers and external stakeholders to enhance flawless productions that deliver best in class content to the Premier League and it's international rights holders.
This is the first position of it’s kind within PLP’s evolving Creative department and the most senior design role within the business, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to influence as well as drive top tier design and creative production for the Premier League.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a full-time permanent role based at our facility in Stockley Park, Uxbridge.
Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
1. Inspire, mentor and lead a team of Senior, Middleweight and Junior designers.
2. Work with both static and motion designers to embrace the Premier League brand architecture and push it’s limits.
3. Collaborate closely with all content creators across PLP
4. Embrace our business model and acquire a clear understanding of each department’s needs and end goals.
5. Lead the design strategy for PLP as part of the overarching creative strategy.
6. Be a beacon for creatively fearless, cutting edge design in a world class football production organisation.
7. Willing and able to work in person at our creative Studio near Heathrow (minimum 3 days a week) with some weekend and evening work (around big match days).
8. Willing and able to occasionally travel to matchday shoots and club events
You Will Have The Following Strengths:
9. Extensive years experience in Design with an outstanding portfolio showing a range of content, broadcast and campaign examples.
10. Knowledgeable around football, with a focus on the Premier League.
11. Proficient in core Creative applications with a focus on After Effects and Photoshop
