HR BUSINESS PARTNER
Distinction Doors is the UK’s leading composite door supplier offering bespoke, premium doors with an extensive colour palette to create wonderful entrances to people’s homes.
We’re an SME with approximately 200 employees, and we are looking to expand our HR team with an opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join us, on a full-time basis (37.5 hours) working at our site in Tankersley. We are an onsite employer due to the nature of our industry but can accommodate flexibility in hours, and at home working as required.
This role is expected to start early 2025, but can be negotiable to accommodate notice periods.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of HR and working with the wider HR team, this role offers a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career with exposure within all remits of a generalist HR team.
The role forms a key part of the HR team and will be suited to HR generalists who are confident managing employee relations issues autonomously with minimal guidance and, partnering senior stakeholders to provide counsel on all HR matters. The role is primarily operational but there will be opportunity to get involved with more senior and strategic business partnering activities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Build good relationships with key stakeholders/senior management across the business.
* Support coaching and development of the HR Advisor.
* Deputise for Head of HR when required.
* Providing effective advice and support and influence stakeholders on people/ER issues.
* Manage all ER cases in line with current legislation.
* Contribute to the development of HR policies and processes.
* Support stakeholders with recruitment and selection needs in line with company’s recruitment processes and budget.
* Responsibility for ensuring recruitment is authorised, adverts placed, and interviews conducted appropriately, supporting when required.
* Provide support and guidance on remuneration and benefits to stakeholders and team members.
* Champion the company values and support delivery of team member engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
* Support stakeholders with performance training and development of their team members, working closely with the L&D Manager to identify skill gaps and support training and development needs.
* Support the L&D Manager to deliver training interventions as and when required.
* Ensure HR system records are updated, use HR data and metrics to identify trends and improve efficiency and contribute towards monthly board reports, complying with GDPR.
* Support the Head of HR in identifying key projects to drive business performance and effectiveness of team members.
* Co-ordinate and lead projects as required.
* Promote and encourage a positive approach to performance management.
* Support the development of plans for recruitment, succession, workforce planning & talent management.
* Support Head of HR with leading wellbeing & engagement initiatives for the business.
Education and Knowledge
* CIPD Level 5+ or equivalent (required).
* Proven track record in HR ideally from a manufacturing or similar environment.
* Strong knowledge and experience as a HR generalist, working autonomously and making independent decisions.
