Key Responsibilities of Design Technology Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging design technology lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students, ensuring all students are motivated and challenged. Teach a range of subjects to students aged 11-16. Organise and supervise extracurricular design technology activities and events, fostering a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject. Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate. Promote health and safety in all activities, ensuring students understand the importance of safe practices. Requirements of Design Technology Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience in teaching design technology is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in design technology. Commitment to promoting a love for creativity and a curiosity about the world of design and technology.
