Working within the Operations Team and reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Radio Engineer will take responsibility for allocated work including repairs, diagnostics, planned maintenance inspection at customer locations, and installation of equipment at customer sites across the UK, as well as providing support to projects.
The successful candidate must have a good understanding and experience with electrical engineering down to component level and experience working on digital/analogue radio hardware.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Repairing and diagnosing DMR radio sets.
2. Working on radio sets down to component level following circuit diagrams as required.
3. Handling customer enquiries relating to repairs and/or technical enquiries.
4. Installation of cable runs, antennas, and other required infrastructure.
5. Supporting the wider engineering team with day-to-day tasks relating to projects.
6. Following set procedures as required and suggesting improvements to the processes.
7. Strong background in an engineering/installation role related to DMR.
Please note we require the successful candidate to have strong bench engineering skills such as soldering, etc., and working with electronic components backed up with demonstrated experience and/or qualifications.
The ability to work in a structured manner with a disciplined work ethic.
A clean UK driving license – you can expect to travel the UK and very occasionally internationally with this role.
Excellent computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks to increase productivity.
The ability to work as part of a wider organizational team.
Be able to pass a full enhanced disclosure (DBS).
Probation period: 3 months with minor KPIs added, Stage 2 and performance review at 6 months.
Start date: Immediate, this role is for an immediate start, but we appreciate that notice periods have to be observed.
