Lean Engineer
Permanent - Full-time -Stonehouse-Salary up to £45,000 DOE
My client, a leading global, automotive manufacturer, are looking for a Lean Engineer to play a vital role in a multi-functional and agile team to help improve efficiency and performance of the production processes.
The Role:
Lead value stream mapping to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
Analyse production processes using Lean tools (e.g., Gemba walks, 5S, and cycle time analysis) to recommend changes.
Redesign and refine processes to improve material flow and meet customer demands faster.
Create and update Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency.
Train and coach teams on Lean principles and tools, fostering a culture of improvement.
Support Kaizen events and ensure Lean practices are embedded across the production line.
Ensure quality standards are upheld and escalate issues when necessary.
Manage projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and performance goals are met.
The Person:
Strong knowledge of Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, PDCA problem-solving, 5S, and waste reduction methods.
Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Additional training in Lean Six Sigma or Industrial Engineering -desirable.
Strong IT Skills - Microsoft office (PowerPoint, word, excel)
