The Welfare Officer and Student Advisor’s role is to support students within the ISC, both online and face-to-face. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of services and processes enabling the site to consistently provide excellent student experience: This will require excellent people skills and a good level of administrative ability. The post holder will deliver a reception service, respond to routine student enquiries, become a skilled user of our internal student records system, provide first level support and referral to specialist services as required, and establish a program of activities to help students develop skills and confidence outside the classroom. Key Responsibilities: Day-to-day delivery of student facing services which include (but are not limited to): Reception/ first point of contact Welfare support and referrals Safeguarding Accommodation enquiries Attendance monitoring Support with queries related to visa and immigration Student finance (including, bookings, refunds, payments, debt chasing) Acting as a lead on specific areas, as agreed by the Head of Student Experience. Ensuring professional and timely information and communication takes place with internal colleagues related to welfare, attendance, and Safeguarding issues Ensuring the smooth running of the reception and other student-facing environments, gathering of information from other functional areas, targeting problem areas which lead to poor service, regular communication, and review of the service with the wider team Working as part of a team to organise and manage registration, arrivals, induction, activities, and events, and providing support and guidance to team members carrying out the activities Working as part of a team to ensure professional and timely information and reporting is released to external stakeholders including parents, sponsors, guardians, agents, Study Group colleagues in the UK and overseas, partner university Effective relationship management with stakeholders including key University departments such as Student Support and Guidance, Disability and Dyslexia Support Service, University Health Service, Students’ Union, accommodation providers, sponsors, guardianship service provider Engagement with Study Group marketing and agent visits, including presentations and contribution to marketing materials Providing resources and support for other teams, as required To carry out any duties, as reasonably required by the Senior Leadership Team Engaging with students and sponsors to provide a high level of service for Arabic speakers ABOUT YOU GCSE English and Math's at grade C and above or equivalent (Essential) Bachelor’s degree (Desirable) Welfare or safeguarding training (Desirable) Communicator in written and spoken Arabic (Desirable) ABOUT US Study Group is a leading international education provider that is dedicated and passionate about helping students around the world, creating a brighter future and reaching their full potential.
