If you are an experienced Installation Electrician who has worked in a similar facilities management environment and you have the ability to fault find electrical faults and rectify them, then this full-time, 35 hours, ongoing role is a great opportunity for you.
Join our busy technical team where you will use your working knowledge to ensure that safety guidelines are upheld whilst providing excellent customer service across our campuses.
As Installation Electrician you can expect to be involved in:
1. Undertaking a range of electrical installation project works including temporary supplies for University events. This will require working on a range of systems including power, data, security, card access, and fire safety.
2. Inputting into design, cable routes, identification, and ordering of parts as well as carrying out testing and commissioning works and providing relevant certification.
What will you bring to the role?
1. City & Guilds or equivalent in an electrical engineering discipline
2. Hold BS7671: 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification
3. Hold a current C&G 2391 or equal and approved inspection and testing electrical installations qualification
4. Experience working in a similar facilities management environment
5. Ability to fault find electrical faults and rectify whilst remaining calm under pressure and providing excellent customer service
6. A full driving licence to drive University vehicles (University van is used to transport materials, equipment, and tools).
