The Role
Facilities Manager.
Reporting to the Logistics and Transport Manager, the Facilities Manager will provide a facilities support service to the business across all sites, ensuring that the needs of the business, staff, contractors, and visitors are met.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing a small team, and it will be essential that you have a facilities background, ideally from within the logistics, warehousing, or commercial sectors.
Responsibilities
1. Control task requests and project planning details.
2. Obtain quotations and control/reduce operational costs.
3. Provide and record project planning details.
4. Induct, establish, and maintain effective working relationships with all contractors.
5. Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and monitor maintenance records.
6. Maintain Permit to Work log for contractor/Maintenance Op as appropriate (all sites).
7. Respond to emergency situations out of hours and host contractors.
8. Ensure sites are prepared for adverse weather conditions (snow, ice, darkness).
9. Manage the cleaning, facilities, and maintenance teams.
10. Ensure all teams and contractors adhere to H&S and COSHH regulations.
11. Maintain all internal and external areas of the Moreton and Leominster sites to a high standard.
12. Support management of the canteen, staff policies, processes, and management of 3rd party security companies.
13. Update and store documents correctly.
14. Maintain security staff and contractor records.
15. Draft SOPs for review.
16. Work safely at all times, compliant with company Health & Safety policy and procedures.
Requirements
1. Previous facilities experience is essential.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Good analytical skills.
4. A strong awareness of Health and Safety (qualifications beneficial).
5. Excellent organisational skills.
6. Good working knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite and competent administration skills.
7. Must have own transport and full driving licence.
Based in Hereford.
Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. Flexibility required, to include emergency out of hours response.
Salary: £35,000.
