What does the job involve?
Responsible for safe work practices, planning, execution, and monitoring of lifecycle operations and preventative as well as unplanned maintenance of the facilities, equipment, tools, and systems used to acquire energy resources. Includes identification and evaluation of operational risks and setting operational performance targets and measures. May include oversight/scheduling of a preventative maintenance program and maintenance-related functional activities such as job planning, scheduling, shift control, performance monitoring, and liaisons with operations groups to ensure equipment/plant scheduled downtimes are coordinated effectively.
As a Wind Turbine Technician / Troubleshooter on the Dudgeon windfarm, you’ll participate in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems on the equipment used in the energy production process within the windfarm. You’ll coordinate repairs with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and ensure that equipment is running safely and efficiently. It will be vital to maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance duties, adhere to safety regulations, and work with the maintenance team on coordinating repairs and maintenance schedules.
What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
* Coordinate and carry out corrective maintenance tasks based on work order plans and priorities to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and systems.
* Participate in the day-to-day corrective and scheduled operational and maintenance activities within the relevant field, prioritizing tasks based on capacity and ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements.
* Adhere to the established procedures, standards, and regulations to ensure operational requirements are met and maintain compliance with industry guidelines.
* Optimize the utilization of resources within the unit in collaboration with the manager.
* Identify and address equipment malfunctions or failures through corrective maintenance, as well as proactively perform preventive maintenance.
* Keep accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs performed on all equipment.
* Identify areas for improvement in equipment, processes, or procedures and provide suggestions to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety.
* Contribute to the technical training of apprentices and employees.
* Identify and report any errors or deficiencies in technical documentation, equipment performance, or operational processes.
* Strictly adhere to safety regulations and guidelines in all electrical and mechanical operations.

* Technical, operational, and maintenance experience in electrical, instrument, and/or mechanical systems from a heavy industrial background such as Renewables (especially offshore wind), Oil & Gas, Power stations, Chemical plants, Steelworks, or similar.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings including single line diagrams & P&ID’s.
* Strong collaboration skills and a creative approach to problem-solving.
* Proactive and open-minded to furthering knowledge and experience base.
* Ability to pass (or already hold) required medical and offshore safety training.
* Fluency in written and verbal English.
