The Role
As the Security Technical Manager, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of security solutions for our social housing projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning, installation, and project management of advanced electrical security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, Public Address and Voice Alarm (PAVA) systems, Door Entry Systems, and Intercoms. Key Responsibilities
Technical Oversight:
* Lead the commissioning, testing, and deployment of security systems to ensure optimal performance.
* Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Project Management:
* Oversee the delivery of security system projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
* Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Compliance and Standards:
* Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
* Regularly update knowledge on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Team Leadership:
* Support and guide junior technicians and engineers in delivering technical excellence.
* Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to upskill team members.
Client Engagement:
* Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
* Provide regular progress updates and address any concerns promptly.
About You
We are looking for a driven and experienced Security Technical Manager with a passion for technology and a commitment to making a difference.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in managing and delivering advanced security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, PAVA, Door Entry Systems, and Intercoms.
* Strong technical background in commissioning and troubleshooting security technologies.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Knowledge of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., NSI, SIA, BS EN Standards).
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and mentor teams.
* Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within London as required.
* Relevant certifications in security systems or electrical engineering.
* Experience in the social housing or public sector.
