Quantity Surveyor (Remediation/Earthworks) - £40,000 - £60,000 DOE Your new company: I am currently working with an Earthworks Contractor that specialises in ground remediation and enabling work projects on a national scale. The head office is based in the North West. However, they operate across the UK, providing essential land remediation and site preparation services to the construction and commercial sectors. Since being founded in the 2000s, they have swiftly established themselves as the preferred remediation contractor for many of the UK’s leading house builders and main contractors. Your new role: With continued business growth, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor who understands remediation and earthworks/drainage packages. Your responsibilities will include: Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for earthworks and remediation projects. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes. Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget. Prepare and submit accurate and timely valuations, variations, and final accounts. Provide support in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. What you'll need to succeed: Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on earthworks and remediation projects. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
