Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Client: A highly respected industrial manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. Position Overview: As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the company's machinery and equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems to maximise production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems.
Diagnose faults and malfunctions in machinery and take appropriate corrective action.
Install, align, and commission new equipment or machinery.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Complete relevant documentation, including maintenance reports and work orders.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, conveyors, gears, and bearings.
Proficient in reading technical diagrams and manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Pattern: This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4.30 pm.
Contract Type and Compensation: This is a temporary-to-permanent position offering an hourly rate ranging from £13.50 to £15.00, depending on experience.
