What you will do:
1. Supervise and support social workers, providing guidance on complex cases.
2. Oversee assessments and care planning, ensuring compliance with statutory frameworks.
3. Manage safeguarding concerns, leading investigations and risk assessments with finesse.
4. Monitor performance and quality standards, ensuring best practices are meticulously followed.
5. Liaise with multi-agency partners, including health professionals and community organisations to maintain cohesive service delivery.
6. Provide expert advice on legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
7. Ensure timely interventions to support vulnerable adults and their families.
8. Contribute to service development and assist in implementing new policies and procedures to enhance care quality.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Must be a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with Social Work England registration.
2. Extensive experience in adult safeguarding, assessments, and care planning.
3. Strong leadership skills, with experience in supervising social workers ensuring a high standard of professional practice.
4. In-depth knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation and statutory responsibilities.
5. Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-agency environment.
6. Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
7. An Enhanced DBS check is required.
