The Senior Accountant (EMEA) is responsible for the final Trial Balances for several European entities managed by the Maidenhead-based EMEA Finance Shared Service Centre. This role involves monthly management of accounts within the region, monthly reporting, tax compliance, and the preparation of annual financial statements and audits.
Working closely with other EMEA Senior Accountants, Accounting Managers, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Tax teams, this position ensures that Dynatrace’s books and records are accurate and compliant with both US and local GAAPs.
This is a hybrid role requiring candidates to be commutable to our Maidenhead office 2 days per week (Tuesday and Thursday).
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparing monthly management accounts under US-GAAP, including accruals and prepayments, and liaising with the Shared Services Centre to ensure accuracy.
2. Managing management reporting to corporate deadlines, including notes and commentaries.
3. Reconciling all Balance Sheet accounts monthly, including payroll-related accounts.
4. Handling local reporting such as statistics and tax compliance.
5. Ensuring timely preparation and submission of VAT returns.
6. Performing regular SOX controls for AP and Payroll transactions.
7. Completing annual financial statements, audits, and tax calculations in cooperation with local advisors and auditors.
8. Ensuring legal compliance regarding filings and statutory reports.
9. Collaborating with Accounts Payable to resolve vendor payment queries.
10. Producing monthly cash flow forecasts.
11. Assisting with quarterly and yearly tax package production.
12. Coordinating with the EMEA Tax team on local tax audits.
13. Engaging in business partnering for more accurate reporting and forecasting.
14. Participating in process improvement and standardization projects.
Qualifications
* ACA, ACCA, or CIMA part-qualified.
* Experience in the technology or fast-growth industry is advantageous.
* Deadline-driven with excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
* Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
* Highly motivated with the ability to engage others.
* Proven analytical skills and a strong work ethic.
* Experience with NetSuite ERP and Blackline reconciliation system is advantageous.
