Overall Purpose of the Role as a Credit Analyst

We are looking for a diligent candidate with personality, drive and commercial finance aspirations to join the Business Insights team in our Southall Head office. Its an exciting time to join us and be a part of the team structured to drive the business forward through:
Forming an integral part of our Customers Journey across account maintenance, data management and particularly customer Credit Risk
Producing internal and external reporting and insight
Working closely with the sales and finance teams, prioritising and supporting our customer base
You will be an integral part of reporting and insight across the business and the DDF Exec, and will also be involved in a variety of fast-paced change projects and initiatives for our customer centric independent business. You will be:
Reviewing customer purchase behaviour against expectations
Working with the sales team to simplify this insight into effective and clear actions
Referencing external market information against internal trends to grow our commercial knowledge
Analysing trends in core SKU & gap fill performance
Partnering with the sales team to take learnings and promote continuous improvement
Challenging yourself as a part of projects to improve process, policy and reporting standards, with a focus on developing/maintaining reporting tools and potentially technical involvement
Keeping standards and policy adherence high, fostering an orderly way of working

Reporting & Key Relationships of a Credit Analyst
Reporting into the Head of Business Insights, the Credit & Reporting Analyst will be a key support for the sales team and business, working on a variety of value added business projects in addition to day-to-day operational requirements.
Other Key Contacts: Sales Account Managers, Product & Marketing, Hardware, Supply Chain, Operations the rest of the Finance team
Main Duties & Responsibilities of a Credit Analyst include
Proactively contributing to and promoting cross-functional working to ensure a continuous development of a balanced customer, cost and cash focused culture.
Tactically and Operationally supporting the Sales team across all sectors and channels, end-to-end monitoring on areas through the provision of Insightful internal and external analysis on customers/product/sectors/ledgers. This could include but is not limited to reporting on pricing accuracy, execution and success-monitoring of new product listings, maximising Return on Investment for our customers, accurate forecasting.
Working alongside the Head of Business Insights and the Business Insights Business Partner to support Sales and Procurement teams in tenders.
Identifying opportunities to drive profitability, growth and cash improvement working with the Business Insights team
Be part of the team evolving our Strategic Sector Pricing Strategy working hand in hand with the Channel Team, Marketing and the Sales Director.
Working with the Head of Business Insights, Product & Marketing and the Sales Director to understand how market insights can be used with pricing tactical strategies to gain market share for Delice.
Reviewing new financing and business modelling, and finding opportunities to further streamline, simplify and automate to create speedier responses to customer engagements
Continuously develop and create relevant reporting that is timely and accurate
Providing Microsoft BI, Excel and PowerPoint training and knowledge promoting continuous improvement throughout Delice

Essential Experience and Qualifications/training of a Credit Analyst
Graduate with a business/numerate Degree (or equivalent)
Microsoft Excel experience, competence and aptitude
Ideally an FMCG/Retail fast paced Entrepreneurial background
Must enjoy a fast paced, growing and evolving business environment, balancing a rhythm of reporting with unscheduled and high priority items
Knowledge and Skills required for a Credit Analyst
Must have exceptional planning and multitasking skills to manage the varied day to day needs and deadlines
Analytical with excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
The ability to simply reporting outcomes into digestible insight and actions
A proactive self-starter, with independent thinking and the flexibility to work both on their own and in a team
Familiarity with integrated ERP System Preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI
IT experience is advantageous but not mandatory Microsoft BI and SQL experience are preferred
Good working knowledge of Excel is critical along with MS Office
