The ideal candidate will have experience working within the childcare sector and be able to provide support to both the children and teacher in a classroom environment. Experience working with children is desirable, but not essential to be successful in the role. If you have experience working as a sports coach, care assistant, tutor, or a babysitter and are interested in working in a Primary School setting, we would love to hear from you Main duties required: Supporting children with their literacy and numeracy needs – subject knowledge is required. Being confident completing intervention work with small groups, or on an individual basis. On hand to always support the teacher and general support in the classroom. Ensure all resources are prepared for lessons and the classroom is tidy ready for learning. About the role: Location – Cardiff Pay - £83.85 per day Start Date – January 2025 Hours – 8:30-3:30 (Mon-Fri) About the school: The school is looking for an energetic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team, bringing new ideas and a positive attitude to the class. Due to the diverse nature of the school, there may be pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) or instances dealing with challenging behaviour. The school will provide continuous support and feedback, with the possibility of the role becoming a permanent position. What you will need: Enhanced DBS (Child Only) checks must be completed before the role will commence – (Teaching Personnel can help you with this) EWC registration required which is mandatory requirement in Wales.
