Are you a graduate of Drama looking for work which suits your degree and passion?
If so, we are recruiting graduates of Drama to work in a number of Wigan based secondary schools to help support with the delivery of pre-planned lessons and to work with students who require additional support so that they can adjust back into a normal school routine.
* Lesson cover, Teaching Assistant and 1:1 support responsibilities included.
* Full-time opportunity for a recent graduate of Drama.
* Competitive pay rates with daily rates starting at £90 per day.
* Excellent opportunity to gain experience within several secondary schools in Wigan.
Due to an increase in staff shielding this academic year, our client secondary schools have identified that they would like us to support them with the appointment of graduates who can work with them this year, supporting with classroom cover and working with students who have adapted to school life a little slower than some of their peers.
Drama Graduates have always been highly desired due to typically having experience standing up in front of large groups and audiences. Despite this preference, all graduates are encouraged to apply and previous experience in a secondary school setting is not essential.
Responsibilities that this position will include:
* Providing lesson cover where a teacher is absent – This will be fully supported by the school.
* General Teaching Assistant duties – Supporting the main class teacher ensuring lessons operate smoothly.
* Working closely with students on a 1:1 basis – Providing support to students who require additional support throughout the day.
Interested applicants are asked to apply by submitting an updated CV using the link provided. Alternatively, applicants can contact the Manchester Secondary Branch on 01942 355 059.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’; this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
