An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Senior Housekeeper to join Tom's Ward in the Children Hospital.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with excellent organisational skills to join our team. The main focus of this role is to maintain a pleasant and welcoming environment for children and families by ensuring the unit is kept clean, tidy and well stocked. The role also involves helping the nursing team with the delivery of patient food and beverages.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the Housekeeper are to work as an integral part of the ward team ensuring a high-quality service and environment for patients and liaising with other departments such as cleaning coordinators, nursing team, and estates in doing so.

Job responsibilities
The main responsibilities of Housekeepers are:
* To work as an integral part of the Ward team ensuring a high-quality service to patients and to provide a service that ensures that the patients' needs are satisfied and Ward requirements are met.
* To assist the Ward Manager to ensure the appropriate and effective delivery of facilities services in order to properly maintain the patient environment.
* To supervise an effective waste segregation and disposal service ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and legislation.
* To work effectively as part of the ward/department team.

Person Specification
Interview criteria
* Literate, articulate, and numerate.
* Effective use of spoken English.
* Knowledge of COSHH and Infection Control Policies or ability to undertake training in this area.
* Basic Computer Skills.
* Experience in the acute NHS.
* Previous experience as Housekeeper or in a similar role.
