Job Description
Planet Pharma are partnered with a leading Pharmaceutical client who is seeking to hire a skilled building maintenance person for their site in Hatfield.
This is a critical role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and functionality of the site's infrastructure, including office environments, laboratories, and GMP production lines. Your primary responsibility is to oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of building fabrics to uphold regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work will involve: Repairing tiles, damaged walls, involved with helping engineers with flushing, fan core maintenance (filters), repair light fitting, leaky taps, helping moving desks around etc.
* Ideally coming from a pharmaceutical or highly regulated environment so understands they can’t just go into a room within GMP production, need to plan around business entities, decontaminate etc. A cleanroom is a cleanroom, keep it clean! Need to have some understanding of GMP & health and safety regulations.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to schedule and oversee repairs, renovations, and installations.
* Semi-skilled with experience in building maintenance or facilities management & good knowledge of mechanical and electrical issues.
* Will involve some ad hoc out of hours work but will have enough notice.
Key Requirements:
* Will receive training on systems but needs to be IT literate
* Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and repairing building fabric issues.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to building maintenance
* Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Organizational skills and attention to detail.
