This role is based within our Talent Systems Europe division. Talent Systems Europe’s SaaS platforms include Spotlight, Tagmin and Cast It Reach. Spotlight is the leading technology solution provider for casting and auditioning in the entertainment industry. Our software is used by thousands of casting directors in the UK, USA & Europe on a daily basis. Tagmin is the leading software solution for talent agents. Cast It Reach provides the premium casting SaaS platform for unscripted television.
Job Purpose:
The Business Development Manager is a key driver in the rapid growth of Talent Systems' brands, with a focus on expanding our presence within the film, TV and commercial sectors across the UK and Europe. As a central figure in our business development efforts, the successful candidate will be instrumental in advancing our strategic goals, fostering long-term partnerships and contributing to the company's overall success and growth trajectory.
Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, this position calls for a dynamic and forward-thinking professional with an in-depth understanding of the entertainment industry. The ideal candidate will combine this industry knowledge with strong business acumen to craft and execute innovative strategies that drive client acquisition. They will be responsible for proactively identifying high-potential opportunities and designing targeted campaigns aimed at converting prospects into valued clients, ultimately strengthening our market position and solidifying our reputation as an industry leader.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Business Development: Develop and execute strategies to secure new business within the film and TV production sectors.
* Partnerships: Negotiate partnerships with film festivals and organisations to drive brand awareness of TS brands.
* Lead Generation: Compile and research lead lists and create email sequences to engage new business.
* CRM Management: Utilise CRM systems to manage, analyse, and optimise customer interactions and data throughout the business development process.
* Product Pitching: Effectively demo our products and services to potential new clients.
* Event Representation: Represent TS brands at industry events, expos, and conferences, engaging with potential clients and promoting our software.
* Webinars & Panels: Organise webinars, panels, and roundtable discussions with industry experts to drive awareness and sales of our platform.
* Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, studio operations, and associated technologies to provide informed solutions to clients.
Qualification & Attributes:
* Experience: 3 - 5 years in film/TV/commercial or digital production.
* Partnerships: Experience in negotiating reciprocal partnerships desirable.
* Connections: Confident to network with individuals at all levels of a company.
* CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems and the ability to use them for effective sales and customer relationship management.
* Presentation Skills: Happy to run demos and build relationships with clients.
* Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities.
* Collaboration: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* Professionalism: High level of integrity, professionalism, and deep industry knowledge.
