A bit about me:
I am a disabled young adult, I am 19 years old. I cannot talk properly however I do understand what is being said. I need help to dress myself, feed myself and getting around. I am so lucky to be able to go to the Medley (Adult Care Centre) 4 days a week. My favourite things to do is to go to the shops, I love walking around and saying hello to all the people. I love short walks and longer ones in my wheelchair. I still believe in Father Christmas and all I want is a bag of plastic balls.
About the role:
At this point in time my Dad takes time off work in the morning 09:00 to 09:45 to get me dressed, fed and taken to the medley by 09:30 on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. He also takes time off in the afternoon to come and fetch me however when we get home if he has a meeting, I just lie on the couch watching TV. I am looking for someone friendly, patient and who can drive. I would need help 1 hour in the mornings to help me get dressed and ready for the day and take me to the Medley. Then 1 and half hours in the afternoon to fetch me from the Medley at 15:30 take me home and feed me. On Tuesday flexy time 2 hours to go out for an adventure.
The kind of person I am looking for:
I am looking for a very friendly, outgoing and very patient person who will understand that although I am 19 but I am still a little boy. I love people and I love saying hello to everyone.
