We’re looking for an individual to join a second-line team of compliance risk specialists that will support the Group in adhering to regulatory requirements in relation to financial promotions, as well as a centre of excellence for compliance advice for Competition and Markets Authority rules and guidance.
The perfect candidate will have second-line experience in both Financial Promotions and CMA, however, if you have strong second-line compliance or legal experience in either Financial Promotions or CMA then we would love to hear from you.
Key Accountabilities:
* Define, develop and implement a clear and comprehensive risk appetite outlining risk tolerances and limits.
* Provide regulatory advice to first-line teams and support with regulatory engagement.
* Oversee significant projects and associated execution/delivery risks.
* Ensure timely action to address control weaknesses and customer detriment.
* Stay abreast of external regulatory developments and support first-line teams with vital changes.
* Continuously monitor the risk landscape for changes and emerging risks.
What You’ll Need:
* Experience in a second-line compliance or legal environment.
* Knowledge of Financial Promotion rules and the ability to provide practical examples of their application.
* Knowledge of CMA rules and guidance, including regulatory engagement.
* Ability to represent the organisation and build relationships with external partners.
* Understanding of RegTech and data-led solutions for enhanced consumer outcomes.
* Knowledge of industry developments to support the embedding of Financial Promotions & CMA standards.
And Any Experience of These Would Be Really Useful:
* Support in developing group-level policy and setting risk appetite.
* Ensure timely measurement, monitoring, and reporting of risks.
* Experience in identifying Key Risk Indicators and reporting to senior management.
* Good communication skills and the ability to influence.
* Knowledge of Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) systems.
