A higher education institution based in Milton Keynes is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Business Partner to join its small but dynamic Human Resources team.
This is a key role offering the opportunity to lead on complex employee relations (ER) casework, support senior stakeholders through effective business partnering, and help shape a people strategy that’s informed by data and focused on organisational success.
The Role
As HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to departments across the institution, supporting managers with a broad range of people matters and working strategically on organisational priorities. This includes handling sensitive ER cases, advising on change processes, and helping teams navigate people challenges constructively and confidently.
You’ll also be involved in key HR projects and will play an active part in promoting a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture.

* Proven experience managing complex and sensitive ER casework
* Strong skills in strategic HR business partnering with senior leaders
* Ability to build credibility and influence decision-making at all levels
* Confidence in navigating ambiguity and providing clear, pragmatic advice
* A data-informed mindset – comfortable using HR metrics and analytics to identify trends, inform decisions and improve outcomes
* High levels of discretion, diplomacy and professionalism
