Overview: We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager or Quality Engineer with a metallurgy background to join a leading manufacturing company. This role will be integral in ensuring the highest quality standards in the production of metal components, The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a similar quality management role, with the ability to manage a small team and drive improvements within the quality assurance function. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the quality control processes for metal products, ensuring compliance with industry standards, including AS9100 and other aerospace-specific quality requirements. Oversee and mentor a small team of quality engineers and inspectors, providing guidance on day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and professional development. Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure adherence to quality standards, improving efficiency and reducing defects. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances, ensuring continuous improvement of processes and product quality. Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards and customer specifications. Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure consistent product performance. Manage customer complaints and quality feedback, leading investigations and resolutions in a timely and professional manner. Candidate Requirements: Education: Degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality management or quality engineering role within manufacturing, with a strong focus on metals. Previous experience in the aerospace industry or working with aerospace-grade metals is highly desirable. Experience in managing a small team and driving continuous quality improvement initiatives. Skills: Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes and metal testing techniques (e.g., tensile testing, hardness testing, NDT). Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and other aerospace-related standards. Proven ability to perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and manage audits. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Desirable Attributes: Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with metallurgical testing and inspection standards specific to aerospace components
