About us:
We have a clearly defined curriculum unique to our setting, focusing strongly on independence and building the skills the children will need to succeed in their educational journey.
Our Day Nursery & Transition are small, offering parents a personal and nurturing experience when leaving their child for the first time.
Kindergarten has a garden space attached to the room, allowing our busy two-year-olds the opportunity to explore and expend their energy.
Our preschool rooms offer a balance of free play and focused small group and one-to-one activities that prepare the child holistically for school and entry assessment.
We have a very low staff turnover, with some staff having been with us for over 20 years. Our team covers a broad spectrum of ages and experiences, contributing valuable insights to our rich and varied curriculum. We have 3 inset days per year where we close to children for staff training and development. Training is offered via online portals (Flick), Teams (Family First), and face-to-face (Family First and Surrey CC). We organize staff nights out for socializing in small groups and as a whole nursery.
We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts. This post will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our Prevent Duty.
Drayton House Nursery School is part of the Family First Group, where we treat everyone as a person, with equal rights and responsibilities. We are committed to providing equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice for all children and families according to their individual needs. Discrimination on the grounds of gender, age, race, religion or belief, marriage or civil partnership, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, pregnancy or maternity, ethnic or national origin, or political belief has no place within the Family First Group.
Benefits:
Family First benefits include annual leave starting at 24 days, a paid birthday day off, and bank holidays. We also offer discounted nursery fees for our teams, friends, and family, along with access to a discount/perks platform featuring exceptional learning & development opportunities tailored to you.
All perks are pro-rata for part-time staff and subject to successful completion of the probationary period. These perks may be subject to further conditions and can be withdrawn or reviewed at the discretion of the company.
