What skills and experience we're looking for
We are recruiting for a Qualified Speech and Language Professional to undertake this exciting role within our multi-academy trust. Following covid we noticed a rise in the need to develop our speech and language strategy across our Trust.
Therefore we are looking for someone to be passionate about embedding our approach to speech and language therapy across the curriculum.
Although working as part of the Central Trust Team you would be working across all eight schools across The Stour Academy Trust.
We need someone who is confident and willing to:
• To support the early identification of speech, language and/or communication needs
• To develop personalised strategies to support individual children's speech, language and/or communication needs
• To provide intervention and evaluate outcomes
• To work with class teachers to facilitate a united approach between intervention and classroom practice
• To work closely with families and advise on strategies that could help at home
• To support and enable teaching assistants carrying out speech, language and/ or communication interventions
• To maintain accurate records, reports and other paperwork
• To work in partnership with other professionals
• To work with the school SENDCo in prioritising caseload
What the school offers its staff
• An additional day’s paid leave per academic year (after 2 years service)
• Staff not expected to respond to e-mails after 6.00pm or at weekends

• Annual Leave of 29 days plus bank holidays granted during the school holidays
• 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, finishing at 4pm one day per week
